Pastoral Training

Adopt Uganda is working with more than 70 congregations known as the Wesleyan Church of Uganda under the leadership of Rev. Lucas Hamirie. Most pastors have received the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ but do not have the means for formal theological training. Adopt Uganda has developed the Wesleyan Institute for Biblical and Sacramental Studies whereby pastors come together several times each year for theological training. The training center is located in Busia, Uganda where the facilities are being developed.

Professors are needed to travel to Uganda to give 2 week concentrated courses. Funds are needed for travel for the local pastors to come to the training site, also for meals and training materials while at the Institute. It costs approximately $100 per pastor for the 2 week training.
